3The lights come back on together each time, a few minutes after the car
starts.
The estimate is for $350 for parts and labor to replace a right front wheel
speed sensor. I guess I am going to go back tomorrow to have the work
done. How badly am I being ripped off here?
The mechanic says any of the other 3 wheel speed sensors could go at
any time and cause the same problem. The 4 wheel speed sensors are all
independent of each other, right? How likely is it for another one to fail?
(I guess they aren't 'independent' failures if the mechanic sabatoges
something else on my car each time he fixes something...)
Guess I should go to a new mechanic? Guess I'm just stupid? Guess I just
don't give a damn...

That rate seem fair, I don't think your getting ripped off, but my experience with Buicks have been first one goes bad then shortly after another and another until they are all replaced. So be prepared for the others to go away also. I have always done these in pairs, so if one front went bad I would replace both fronts, if 1 rear goes bad, replace both rears. It seems to hold true that the fronts go away quicker than the rear units, most likely the stresses caused by both pulling and turning the car through the drivetrain.
I replaced my front passenger at 130,000 miles. Not one other has failed and I am at 260,000 at the moment. The sensor is built into the hub.. I would make sure all the wires going to it are ok. Only replace the one, they are independent units. My best advice is don't replace or fix anything that is not broken, would be a waste of money.
This is another problem I was just driven no warning and my traction off light came on and abs light came no noise was heard
